How to apply for a Nursery Place (Lower Foundation) at St Giles C of E Academy

You can register your child by completing the Nursery Application form above and handing it in to the office at St Giles C of E Academy. Please bring proof of ID and Date of Birth for the child (Birth Certificate or Passport) and Proof of address. We do not need a copy of these they just need to be seen. We can then add you child to our admissions data base. You will be contacted in the term that your child turns 3 with a view to your child starting nursery at the beginning of the following term.

If you are a regular attendee at the Parishes of St Giles, Pontefract or All Saints, Pontefract please complete our supplementary admission form this will help your application if we are oversubscribed.

Please be aware that entering the nursery does not give your child a guaranteed place in the main school in the September after they turn 4.

All 3 to 4-year-old children in England can get 570 free hours free childcare per year. It’s usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year. You can get it from the term after your child’s 3rd birthday. Depending on the attendance pattern you choose to attend you may have to pay extra costs for wrap around care over lunchtime.
